9/11 Was An Inside Job

1. No steel frame buildings had ever before in history collapsed either from fires or planes hitting them. They are designed to withstand those hazards. On 9/11 three of them fell, and fell perfectly straight down. Why do you think demolition experts spend weeks planting charges and timing the explosions with millisecond precision? To make sure the buildings implode and fall straight down, just as the three WTC towers did. That perfection does not happen by accident. Further, the timing of the falls are indicative of linear controlled demolitions, not accelerating natural gravitational collapse. An engineering failure of this magnitude would normally demand an exhaustive study as to the mechanism of failure to ensure it never happened again, but all the evidence was quickly whisked away and melted down thus ensuring the cause was never discovered.
2. The 1/3 sized wheels, turbofan and diffuser found at the Pentagon crash are not part of a 757, but of a much smaller military aircraft the A-3 drone. Two civilian defense contractor employees — told to remain silent — say other workers quietly retro-fitted missile and remote control systems onto A-3 jets at Colorado public airport prior to September 11. Bush claims a Boeing 757 hit the Pentagon then vaporised, and that is why there was no wreckage, but that is utterly impossible. The titanium used in the 12 tons of engines does not even melt at temperatures reached by mixing jet fuel and pure oxygen much less vaporise. Think about it. Titanium was chosen for the engines because it would not even weaken when subjected to an optimum mixture of jet fuel and air for hours on end during ordinary flight. Further, there were not even broken windows where the engines purportedly hit the Pentagon. And to top it off, photos show no sign of a fuel fire like the ones hitting the two towers. So, according to Bush, not only did the most of the plane vanish, a mysterious shrinking ray made the wheels and turbofans shrink to 1/3 the normal diameter and change into a type used by A-3 military drones. Give me a break! How gullible do you think I am Mr. Bush? Bush is peddling an utterly preposterous lie. It amazing he got away with it so long. See the video Loose Change, part 1 and Loose Change, part 2. So it was an A-3 drone that hit the Pentagon. This is so patently obvious from examining the wreckage that Bush must have know that all along, but decided to lie.
3. Thermate is an improved and patented variant of Thermite. It is used only by the military. It is used for cutting through steel. Thermate was found on the clean cuts on the steel of the World Trade building rubble.
4. The Pentagon had 80 surveillance cameras operating on 9/11, yet it won’t release the fdotage of the alleged airliner that hit the Pentagon. Such photos could presumably explain the many anomalies about that event. What are they hiding?
5. The hole in the side of the Pentagon is far too small for Boeing 757 flight 77 to pass through. The wingspan is 124 feet with a fuselage diameter of 13 feet. It is 44 feet from ground to the top of the tail. There was almost no debris, no bodies, no blood, no body parts, no baggage, no wreckage typical of a 757 plane crash, and of course no sheared off wings. Further there was no fire or smoke damage similar to the other two crashes. There should have been. The plane had a similar load of fuel. In contrast, after the shuttle disaster, it was possible to find pieces of the seven astronauts’ bodies spread over hundreds of square miles. Some of the rubble appears to belong to a small Global Hawk drone (44 feet long by 15 feet high) including the tiny engine, including a tiny turbofan engine. The Pentagon blatantly lied in its story published by the Washington Post, saying the hole in the Pentagon was five stories high and 200 feet wide. Photos show it is no bigger than 18 feet in diameter. To fit in that tiny hole the wings had to have been sheared off. Where are the wings? Further the Pentagon crash did not show up seismically, because the object that hit was too light. Recall your high school physics. We know object that hit the Pentagon was travelling at 400 mph.
   mass = energy / velocity² - The low energy of the hit means the object had to have considerably lower mass than a 757. The other two other hits, including another 757, registered seismically. Whatever hit the Pentagon was not nearly heavy enough to be a 757 as the Bush conspiracy theory claims. This is so patently obvious, Bush must have know that all along, but decided to lie.
6. David Griffin’s video excerpt painlessly gives you a outline of some of the holes in Bush’s story. Griffin has written two books on 9/11.
7. Mike Ruppert’s book, Crossing the Rubicon. This book explains exactly how Cheney pulled this off, and provides 700 pages of backup for this admittedly wild-sounding accusation.
8. There were no Arabs aboard flight 77 as claimed by Bush. Without Arabs, you have no hijackers. Without a highjack, why would the three American pilots all suicide unless Bush had threatened their families? The only other explanation is the planes were flown by wire. In other words, either way, 9/11 was an inside job. The key to Bush’s conspiracy theory, the Arab highjacking, is a total fabrication. His whole lie comes unravelled just from the passenger and autopsy lists alone.
9. Stanley Hilton, Bob Dole’s advisor and lead attorney in the 9/11 victims case says he has both documentary evidence and sworn testimony that Cheny and Bush ordered the 9/11 attack.
10. All of Bush’s cabinet met with Mahmoud, the bankroller of 9/11, in the week prior to 9/11.
11. No planes scrambled to intercept the hijackers. This is standard procedure. Normally a plane would be in the air within four minutes. Just prior to 9/11 Cheney inserted himself in the highjack command loop. He is the one who ordered them to stand down.
12. There were all manner of war games in progress on 9/11 some simulating a 9/11 style attack. This deflected most of the airforce out west. It further confused air traffic controllers who had to deal with insertions (fake planes for the war games on their radars). Nobody was really sure if the attacks were real or part of the game. No cave-dwelling terrorists could have arranged so convenient a distraction. The Pentagon publicly admitted this many times, including when Representative Cynthia McKinney grilled Donald Rumsfeld on C-Span 2005-03-24. .
13. While eveyone else was in lockdown on 9/11, Bush got the FBI to arrange private jets to collect the bin Laden family and take them safely out of the USA without interrogation. At that point airspace had been reopened to commercial flights but not private flights.
14. Kevin R. Ryan, Site Manager, Environmental Health Laboratories, for Underwriter Labs, wrote that the fires in the World Trade buildings were not nearly hot enough to cause the UL-rated steel to fail.
15. CNN’s reporter, Jamie McIntyre, on the scene announced that no plane hit the pentagon. Rudy Giuliani pre-announced the hit on the Pentagon by a few minutes. How did he know it would happen? One possibility is he had a schedule of the planned events and the politician in him made him leap the gun and announce the hit when it was scheduled rather than waiting until after he had heard notification that it had happened. The plan was running a little late.
16. Rudy Giuliani announced a hit on the Sears tower. This part of the conspiracy was foiled, but apparently nobody told him. He announced it, as it was planned.
17. Shortly before the first tower fell, Rudy Giuliani screamed at people to get out because it was about to collapse. How did he know that? No office tower had ever fallen in the history of man from a fire or a plane hit.
18. Rudy Guiliani gave a series of extremely polished speeches on 9/11. How did he find time to rehearse? You’d almost think he had spent the previous month getting ready for his big day in the limelight.
19. All three World Trade Towers fell faster over the first half of the collapse than physics allows by free fall. That meant they had to have an assist, e.g. An explosive push from pre-planted demolition charges, not just gravity pulling them down. The maximum collapse for free fall is computed by
    distance = ½ g t²
    where g is the acceleration due to gravity 32 feet per second per second, and t is time in seconds. In other words, free fall collapse should start out slowly and accelerate faster and faster for the big finale. But none of the three collapses did. Newton says the only way that could happen is if they were given an extra push, e.g. with demolition explosives. Gravity is not sufficient. Bush lied.
20. Why did the terrorists hit the west wing of the Pentagon? That required an extra complex flight manoeuvre. The west wing was being renovated. There were no military people there. Why wouldn’t terrorists try to kill the top brass in the east wing?
21. David Ray Griffin’s objection from The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions About the Bush Administration and 9/11.

    George W. Bush has also been criticized for behaving somewhat bizarrely on 9/11.

    As he and the Secret Service got word that a second plane had crashed into the World Trade Center and that three planes had been hijacked, there could have been no possible doubt in their mind that the United States was under terrorist attack… The most horrendous attack the United States had ever suffered. And they would have had to assume that one or more of them were heading toward George W. Bush himself. and so upon learning about this, the secret service surely would have whisked him away immediately. In fact, one secret service agent on the scene said, "We’re out of here." but obviously he got overruled because president Bush stayed there. After Andrew Card reported the second crash on the World Trade Center, the president just nodded as if he understood and said, "we’re going to go ahead with the reading lesson." and he sat there another 15 minutes listening to the children read a story about a pet goat. This was a photo op and when it was over he lingered around talking to the children and talking to the teacher.

    Bill Sammon, of the Washington Times, wrote a very pro-Bush book, yet he comments how casual and relaxed the president was given the fact he’d just learned the country was under attack. He said Bush took his own sweet time and in fact called him "Our Dawdler in Chief." And then the president went on national TV, going forward with an interview that had been planned and announced in advance… then they took their regularly scheduled motorcade back to the airport. In other words, [Bush and the Secret Service] showed no fear whatsoever that they would be targeted for attack, which strongly suggests they knew how many aircraft were being hijacked and what their targets were.

    Couldn’t it have been that he was trying to project calm in the eye of the storm, that this was Bush projecting Churchillian resolve in the face of calamity?

    People who want to believe such things can, of course, imagine such scenarios. But the president in a situation like that does not make the decisions; the Secret Service team makes the decisions. And the guys in the Secret Service are trained to be ready for a catastrophe like this where they make snap decisions and whisk the president to safety immediately. They would have had an escape route planned; they would have had contingencies planned — they always do. It is at least not very plausible to think they would have remained there and endangered the lives of all the children and teachers at that school in order to exude that Churchillian confidence.

    Consider that the event was publicly scheduled and presumably known to any terrorists. A school is not a very secure location. Bush was recklessly endangering the lives of the children he was with unless of course he knew there was no danger because this was an inside job.

22. Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz were busy discussing the Iraq war in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. Why were they so unconcerned about 9/11 unless it were an inside job?

    I expected to go back to a round of meetings [on 2001-09-12], examining what the next attacks could be, what our vulnerabilities were, what we could do about them in the short term. Instead, I walked into a series of discussions about Iraq. At first I was incredulous that we were talking about something other than getting al Qaeda. Then I realised with an almost sharp physical pain that Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz were trying to take advantage of this national tragedy to promote their agenda about Iraq. Since the beginning of the administration, indeed well before, they had been pressing for a war with Iraq. My friends in the Pentagon had been telling me that the word was we would be invading Iraq sometimes in 2002. Richard A. 23. The alleged hijackers on their eve of a supposed religiously-motivated suicide attack went to a strip bar, drank alcohol and ate pork, all in public. They left copies of the Qur’an behind presumably to help witnesses remember them. Devout Muslims are insanely fanatical about avoiding pork. They would sooner eat feces. In Saudi Arabia, drinking alcohol is considered so shameful it could get you killed. That is not plausible behaviour for religious fanatics about to face judgement day. bin Laden is a Puritanical religious fanatic.
24. Seismic evidence shows the two main world trade towers were taken down by demolition.
25. A FOX reporter reported the plane that hit South Tower II of the World Trade Center had a blue logo. UA Flight 175 would have had a black and red United logo. The US airforce uses a white star on a blue circle.
26. Bush at first tried to get noted war criminal Henry Kissinger to handle the 9/11 commission whitewash.
27. Put options (short selling) for American Airlines and United Airlines were massively above normal just prior to 9/11. Investors made a killing off foreknowledge of 9/11. Cheney claims he investigated these investors but claims no wrongdoing and he refused to say who profited from the carnage or to explain why he thought that. Some of the investors would have been people jumping on a bandwagon, not knowing what was afoot, just presuming insiders must know. But at the core were people who knew the day of the attack. How did they know?
28. Bush at first refused to testify at the 9/11 commission, and then agreed only reluctantly under the condition he and Cheney always appear together so could keep their stories straight.
29. As if they had prior knowledge, within four minutes after the Pentagon crash, FBI agents quickly confiscated:

    • video tape from a gas station security camera aimed directly at the exact point of impact while recording the size of the plane and/or missile.
    • security camera video film from a nearby Sheraton hotel.
    • film from a Virginia Transportation Department freeway overpass camera.

    They have never released these tapes, nor any of the on-grounds security camera tapes. What’s the big secret?
30. Rumsfeld accidentally told the truth:Here we’re talking about plastic knives, and using an American Airlines flight filled with our citizens, and the missile to damage this building, and similar (inaudible) that damaged the World Trade Center. 31. Larry Silverstein, the leaseholder of tower 7 confesses on tape he had the building demolished to prevent the spread of fire. This building was not hit by any planes. Larry Silverstein look out long term leases on all the WTC numbered buildings three months before 9/11. He insured them to the max. He not the building’s owners was the beneficiary. He was able to get double the usual payout by arguing the attacks were sufficiently separated in time to count as two separate attacks.
32. Marvin P. Bush the president’s younger brother; was a principal in a company called Securacom that provided security for the World Trade Center, United Airlines, and Dulles International Airport. Bush’s company had an ongoing contract to handle security at the World Trade Center up to the day the buildings fell down.
33. The following evidence is not available to the public. Either it does not exist, somebody destroyed it, or Bush is withholding it. In all three cases Bush is deceiving the public.

    • Airport lobby video showing alleged hijackers on the targeted flights.
    • Evidence tying bin Laden to the crime. All we have is Bush’s say so. One day he claimed he had no idea the attack was coming, and the next he was 100% sure who did it.
    • Recordings of air traffic controller communications with the flights. These were shredded and thrown into five different garbage cans.
    • Remains of any of the targeted planes.
    • Remains of the Twin Towers and Building 7.
    • Blueprints of the Twin Towers and Building 7.
    • Black boxes from any of the targeted planes.
    • Photographs documenting the crime scenes before they were disturbed.
34. Mike Delbert Vreeland tried to warn the Canadian authorities of the coming 9/11 attacks. He was incarcerated, so his warnings were ignored. However, he was correct about the targets and the date of the attack.
35. Two days after 9/11, Michael Powell, (Colin Powell’s son) chair of the FCC, moved to eliminate the few remaining restraints on media concentration. In 1983, 50 corporations controlled the majority of all news media in the United States. Today only six do: Time Warner, Disney, archconservative Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. (Fox’s parent company), Bertelsmann, Viacom and General Electric Co. It was as though Powell has this all ready to go, and waited for the right moment to spring it, behind a smokescreen. His behaviour implies he knew 9/11 was coming. The technique is similar to one favoured by Canadian politicians to pass unpopular legislation on Christmas eve when no one is looking.
36. Cheney and Ashcroft claim they drafted the 600-page Patriot Act in less than a week. It is a very complicated document. It even included unrelated pork for pharmaceutical companies like Merck, to get them of the hook for legal liability for contaminated vaccines, past, present and future. I can’t believe they could have put this intricate, deceptively worded document together in only a week. They must have had it ready before hand waiting for the right moment to spring it, behind a smokescreen. Legislators passed it in a panic without even reading it first. It annulled the Bill of Rights. This behaviour implies Cheney and Ashcroft knew 9/11 was coming. The technique is similar to one favoured by Canadian politicians to pass unpopular legislation on Christmas eve when no one is looking.
37. Carmen bin Ladin (she spells her name differently), bin Laden’s estranged sister in law, says in her book Inside the Kingdom: My Life in Saudi Arabia that the bin Laden family all believe Osama had nothing to do with 9/11.
38. Bush used 9/11 as a pretext to invade Afghanistan, even though Saudis ostensibly committed the deed. He then installed ex-Unocal men to run the country. They built a pipeline for Unocal and raised trillions by restarting the opium trade.
39. Bush used 9/11 as a pretext to invade Iraq even though he later admitted the two had no connection.We have no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the September 11th attacks. George W. Bush (born: 1946-07-06 age: 65), 2003-09-17.
40. Bush used 9/11 as a pretext for the Patriot Act to nullify important constitutional rights such as habeas corpus, freedom from cruel and unusual punishment, freedom of speech and freedom of assembly.
41. In 1976 the US Army prepared a plan to take down the two World Trade Towers using commercial airliners, using plastic box cutters to get through security, as part of its "antiterrorism" activities. In 1976, Rumsfeld was Secretary of State, Bush 41 was CIA Director, Nelson Rockfeller was Vice President, Ford was president, Cheney was chief of staff, almost the same crew as was in charge for 9/11.
42. The elaborate Patriot Act was allegedly written in a few days after 9/11, but Cheney and Ashcroft somehow found time to insert some irrelevant pork to get Merck off the hook for contaminating vaccines with mercury, freeing it from liability for the autism it allegedly caused. They must have had the act ready prior to 9/11. They cleverly panicked the house and senate into passing it without even taking time to read it.
43. No high-rise buildings have collapsed before or since from fire elsewhere, yet three supposedly did on 2001-09-11 in New York City. Whomever chose those two buildings to hit either did a detailed engineering study to discover their vulnerability to collapse by fire, or took the buildings down with demolition. I have trouble imagining cave dwellers pulling either of those two feats off. Blind luck would be plausible if it were not for the fact Bush 41 had a detailed plan in place to take them out formulated in 1976 using airliners and boxcutters. Bush had the rubble quickly shipped to China to be melted, even though it is illegal to destroy rubble from an engineering failure or a crime scene. You have to investigate precisely what caused the failures so that you can build safer buildings in future.
44. There where five good reasons to have experts spend months combing the wreckage:

    1. It was a crime scene.
    2. It was an a dual airline crash scene.
    3. It was the site of three unprecedented, massive, engineering failures.
    4. To recover bodies, valuables, gold, precious metals, important papers, safes and confidential papers.
    5. To have the hard evidence to squash rumours about what happened.
45. In hindsight, we have seen a pattern of American vilification of other countries that have natural resources that the USA needs, followed by unprovoked attacks and confiscation of those resources. 9/11 has been milked dry to that end. It turns out these wars were planned long before 9/11. It seems not unreasonable that 9/11 was part of those plans.

The 24 Canadians who died (or are missing and presumed to have died) in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S.A., according to families and the official list of Canadian victims as released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

IN MEMORIAM

Michael Arczynski	The 45-year-old was a senior vice-president of Aon Corp.'s Manhattan office. He was a physically active man who moved to New York after nine years in London. He was a well traveled man who said that he had three homes- Montreal, London and Australia. He and his wife Lori had three children. Lori is expecting their fourth in February. Arczynski also leaves three daughters from his first marriage.
Garnet (Ace) Bailey	53 years old, director of pro scouting for the L.A. Kings, a native of Lloydminster, Sask. was aboard United Airlines Flight 175 when it crashed into the World Trade Center. He was a professional hockey player. He played for many teams including the Edmonton Oilers, where he played with Wayne Gretzky. He was nicknamed "Ace" for his skills on the ice. He was starting his 32nd season as a player or scout for the National Hockey League. He is survived by a 22 year old son and his wife Kathy.
David Barkway	The 34-year-old executive with BMO Nesbitt Burns in Toronto was visiting a client atop the World Trade Center's north tower when the first plane hit. He sent an electronic message to his Toronto colleagues, saying he was in trouble. Barkway was visiting New York with his pregnant wife, Cindy, for a three-day business trip. The couple has a two-year-old child. He was on the 105th floor when the tragedy took place and tried to contact his office in Toronto for help.
Ken Basnicki	The 47-year-old father of two was in the north tower where he worked. The Toronto native was last heard from at 8:55 a.m. in a cellphone call to his mother from an office on the 106th floor. "He was notifying his mother that the place was full of smoke and he didn't think he'd find a way out," said his brother-in-law Dan Young of Ennismore, Ont. Basnicki was on his first business trip to New York. He was a physically-fit outgoing, fun-loving high-achiever who rode a Harley Davidson.
Joseph Collison	Joseph Collison was born in Toronto in 1951 and moved to New York City more than 10 years ago. He was on he 102nd floor of the north tower, where he worked in the mail room of Kidder, Peabody & Co., said his sister-in-law, Janet Collison. "Joe was so caring," she said from Mississauga, where he was buried next to his parents. "Joe truly was a brother, someone who always stood beside you." Collison, who was not married, was hoping to adopt a young boy in New York that he cared for, said Janet. "Anyone who knew Joe said he was always there for you."
Cynthia Connolly	Age: 40. She worked at Aon Corp. She was transferred from the Montreal office to New York in 1999. She loved pets. She had a Airedale-German-Shepherd and a pet cat. She was married to Donald Poissant, whom she wed in Montreal, a year before she left for the US.
Arron Dack	The 39-year-old father of two was attending a conference in the north tower of the World Trade Center when the first plane hit. He called his office just after the impact to say he was alive. Two minutes later, at 8:47, he called his wife Abigail. He was a senior executive with Encompys. Dack was born in England, and grew up in Toronto. He is survived by his wife and two children, Olivia and Carter.
Michael Egan	Age: 51. Worked at Aon Corp. He worked on the 105th floor and had his older sister visiting him for a couple of weeks. Some colleagues of his said that his sister, who also died in the terrorist attack, visited his office so she could gaze over the city from his office.
Christine Egan	The 55-year-old Health Canada nurse epidemiologist from Winnipeg was visiting her younger brother's upper-floor office in the second tower of the World Trade Center. She had come to New York to spend time with him, her sister-in-law and her two teenaged nephews. She was last spotted on the 105th floor, apparently to meet and old college friend.
Albert William Elmarry	The 30-year-old moved from Toronto to the United States in 1999 to work in computer support for Cantor Fitzgerald. He met his wife, Irenie, on a visit to his native Egypt. She is expecting their first child at the end of March. He had worked for IBM Canada, when in Toronto. He was on the 103rd floor when the terrorists attacked.
Meredith Ewart and Peter Feidelberg	Ages 29 and 34 respectively. The Montreal couple worked in offices on the World Trade Center's top floors. They worked as consultants for an insurance firm, Aon International. They both got their jobs at Aon International at the same time. They had been married for 18 months.
Alexander Filipov	Age: 70. Born in Regina and lived in Concord, Mass. Was on American Airlines Flight 11 when it hit the World Trade Center. Filipov, an electrical engineer, grew up in Windsor and graduated from Queen's University in Kingston, Ont. He was hoping to get home on time for his 44th anniversary in Massachusetts. His wife Loretta felt that he lived a well-rounded life, that included golfing, skiing, and playing music. He even tried bungee jumping at 60. He is survived by three sons, Allan, David and Jeffrey.
Ralph Gerhardt	The 34-year-old vice-president with Cantor Fitzgerald, a bond trading firm, called his parents in Toronto just after the first plane hit the north tower. He tried to console his parents during the call telling them not to worry. He also informed them that he was going to find his girlfriend, who worked in the floor below. He has not been heard from since.
Stuart Lee	He had returned only a day before the attacks from his Korean homeland where he had taken his wife, Lynn Udbjorg, to show off his roots. He was on the 103rd floor of 1 World Trade Center, when the tragedy took place. Lee, who would have turned 31 on Wednesday, was vice-president of integrated services for Datasynapse. He spent the last hour of his life e-mailing his company, trying to figure how to get out of the building.
Mark Ludvigsen	Age: 32. Worked at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods. He left his native New Brunswick for US, with his parents, when he was seven. He worked on the 89th floor of the south tower of the World Trade Center. He proposed to his wife on a surprise trip to Ireland. He called his parents a few minutes after the attack on the North Tower to console them that he was alright. He told them that they had nothing to worry about since he was on the other wing. He has not been heard from since.
Bernard Mascarenhas	54 years old, of Newmarket, Ont., worked for Marsh Inc., which had offices at the World Trade Center. He was the chief information officer for the insurance brokerage firm. He was in New York on a five day visit to the technology department of his parent company. Marsh had 1,900 employees in the trade centers of which 295 were killed. He is survived by his wife, Raynette, and a son and daughter, Jaclyn and Sven.
Colin McArthur	Age: 52. Worked as a deputy managing director at Aon Corp. He immigrated to Canada in 1977. He is originally from Glasgow. He married his wife, who also works at Aon Corp., after moving to Montreal. He has been working at the company for over 15 years.
Michel Pelletier	The 36-year-old commodities broker for TradeSpark, a division of trading firm Cantor Fitzgerald, was on the 105th floor of 1 World Trade Center. He called his wife, Sophie, and calmly told her he was trapped in the building and that he loved her. She was dropping their two-year-old daughter at her first day of school. He is survived by a three-month-old son and their two-year-old daughter.
Donald Robson	52, raised in Toronto, was a partner and bond broker for Cantor Fitzgerald on the 103rd floor of the north tower of the World Trade Center. He had spent the last two decades in New York. He was also present in the 1993 tower bombing, according to his wife. He is survived by two sons, Geoff and Scott.
Ruffino (Roy) Santos	Age: 37. Worked at Guy Carpenter as a computer consultant. He was leaving the company to work for Accenture a week later. He is a native of Manila, who moved to British Columbia in the 1980's. He later moved to New York, five years ago.
Vladimir Tomasevic	36, of Toronto, vice-president of software development for Optus e-biz solutions. Was attending conference on 106th floor of World Trade Center's north tower. Originally from Yugoslavia, he immigrated to Canada in 1994. "He was my best friend and a part of him will always be with me" commented his wife to Maclean's magazine.
Chantal Vincelli	Age: 38. She was a marketing assistant for Data Synapse Inc. Her biggest dream in life was to be a New Yorker. "She loved the hustle and bustle, the atmosphere, the go-getters", said her brother. She has been working in New York for five years. On the day of the attacks, Vincelli was setting up a kiosk at a trade show.
Deborah Lynn Williams	Age: 35. Williams, whose maiden name was Robinson, worked for the global insurer, Aon Corp., for 15 years. She and her husband, Darren, moved to Hoboken, N.J., after being transferred to New York City by their employer. Williams, a Montreal native, gave birth to their only child six months after settling in Hoboken.

Frank Joseph Doyle	Foreign Affairs also listed a "25th victim" because of his deep Canadian roots. Thirty-nine-year-old Frank Joseph Doyle was married to Kimmie Chedel of St. Sauveur, Que. He also leaves two children. All of his relatives live in the Ottawa Valley. Doyle, an executive vice-president of Keefe Bruyette and Woods, had a home in Ste. Adele, Que.
LeRoy Holmer	Canadian Connection: LeRoy Homer, 36, was the co-pilot of United Airlines Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania after being taken over by hijackers. Homer was an American citizen, but his wife Melodie Thorpe was Canadian, having grown up in Hamilton, Ont. Family say Homer always knew he wanted to be a pilot. The couple, who lived in Marlton, N.J., have a young daughter. Homer previously served with the US air force in Desert Shield, Desert Storm and in Somolia.
Jane Beatty	Canadian Connection: Jane Beatty, age: 53, Worked at Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. She was originally from Britain and lived in Ontario for 20 years before moving to the United states. She was on the 96th floor of the North tower, when the terrorists attacked. She had survived five years with breast cancer. She celebrated the occasion just three weeks before her death. She called her husband, Bob, at 8:45, a couple of minutes before the terrorist attack.

Memorial Plaques

Canada's 9/11 victims were remembered as the first plaque honouring Canadian victims of September 11th was unveiled at an Ottawa's Beechwood Cemetery on January 14, 2002. The plaque bears the names of 24 Canadian victims, as well as two others who were married to Canadians. Gov. Gen. Adrienne Clarkson could not attend the service due to another engagement, but her secretary Barbara Uteck delivered a message on her behalf. Another plaque was dedicated to the Canadian 9/11 victims on March 18, 2003. It was unveiled in a meditation room in the East Block of Parliament Hill in Ottawa. It will remain on display there as a permanent memorial. Five family members, representing three victims of the tragedy, attended the ceremony. They were joined by deputy Commons Speaker Bob Kilger, Canadian Alliance Leader Stephen Harper, religious representatives and several MPs, including Ontario Liberal Dan McTeague who spearheaded the idea of honouring the victims.

What Canada Did On 9/11 and After Crises often tend to bring out the best in people. The response in Canada to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 is a case in point. 200 or so aircraft, many of which were of U.S. registry, were heading for the continental U.S. All were diverted to alternate airports in Eastern Canada. Some were too heavy to land and had to dump fuel, before being routed to the nearest available airport. Simultaneously, over the North Pacific, commercial carriers en route from Asia to North America were being diverted to airports in Western Canada, primarily Vancouver. NAV CANADA faced an enormous task of draining the skies under Canadian control, handling 239 diverted aircraft from overseas as well as those destined for the U.S. and Canada. All landed safely in Canada without incident. Of these, 38 went to Gander, 1 to Deer Lake, 21 to St. John’s, 8 to Stephenville, 7 to Goose Bay, 47 to Halifax, 10 to Moncton, 10 to Mirabel, 7 to Dorval, 14 to Toronto, 4 to Hamilton, 15 to Winnipeg, 6 to Edmonton, 13 to Calgary, 1 to Yellowknife, 3 to Whitehorse and 34 to Vancouver. Gander received 6,600 diverted passengers; Vancouver received about 8,500. The last aircraft to land was from the Pacific. By about 6:00 PM EDT, all planes had landed safely. Accommodating more than 33,000 passengers and aircrew was a huge challenge for the Canadian communities, who welcomed the large number of passengers and accommodated them in their homes and public facilities. Many lasting friendship were developed during the days that these thousands of stranded passengers were welcomed into Canadaian homes. By September 16th all diverted planes had departed with their passengers for their intended destinations.
